Solar Plexus: The Lineage of Powerlessness and Money
13 October 2026 · 9 min read
Your stomach tightens before you can speak. You have to name your price and your voice shrinks. A boss raises his tone and you get smaller in your chair. This is not a character flaw. It is the solar plexus, the center of personal power, which remembers when your lineage lost the ground beneath its feet.
What my lineage lost, I do not have to carry. I honour their story, and I take my power back.
Where the solar plexus lives
Below the breastbone, above the navel. Here the body decides whether it may speak up or must survive. Open, it feels warm, calm, with a clear yes and no. Blocked, it feels heavy, knotted, burning or hollow.
The lineage of powerlessness and money
This center holds the collapse — the moment a family lost control over its life and never regained that feeling. Bankruptcy. Confiscated property. Eviction from the farm. Nationalisation. A war after which everything began from zero. A grandfather who lost his workshop and never lifted his head again. A grandmother hiding money in the flour because "you never know".
Descendants then carry a fear that has nothing to do with their bank balance. Money triggers anxiety regardless of the amount.
Signs the solar plexus is blocked
• Your stomach reacts to conflict before you do.
• You discount before the client even asks.
• You apologise when sending an invoice.
• You say yes while your whole body says no.
• In front of authority — doctors, officials, bosses — you shrink.
• You cannot ask for a raise, even when you know you deserve it.
• You work harder than others and it never feels enough.
• You feel guilty buying for yourself, yet spend easily on others.
• Your belly aches on Sunday evening or before opening a bank statement.
Synchronicities while it is blocked
• Payments arrive late or not at all, even from reliable people.
• The washing machine or car breaks just as a big payment is due.
• You lose wallets, keys, documents.
• You meet people who overlook you, interrupt you, take your credit.
• Money news always arrives when you feel unwell.
• Clients haggle over every coin.
The way out: small completed acts of power
Release does not come through a grand gesture. It comes through small completed acts of personal power. One spoken request. One price named without apology. One boundary held to the end. Repeat until the stomach learns that asking no longer means catastrophe.
Examples for this week:
• Say your price aloud, then stay silent. Do not explain.
• Send the invoice the same day you finish the work.
• Return an item that does not fit you.
• Say one "no" without a reason or apology.
• Ask for help with something small and let yourself be helped.
• Buy one thing purely for joy and do not comment on it.
A short body practice
Place your palm below your breastbone. Breathe into the palm. Exhale long, as if blowing on a candle you do not want to put out. Imagine a small golden sun there; with every exhale the mist around it dissolves. Say inwardly: What my lineage lost, I do not have to carry.
Warmth helps too: a palm, a warm compress, ginger tea. And movement: ten mindful steps feeling the pelvis carry you, not the fear in your belly.
How you know it is releasing
• You eat calmly, even on demanding days.
• You name your price and your body stays warm.
• You stand upright and breathe in front of authority.
• Decisions come faster and need no defence.
• Disagreement no longer drains you.
Synchronicities when it opens
• A client accepts your price without haggling.
• You find forgotten money or receive an unexpected refund.
• An offer arrives right after you said no somewhere else.
• People take you seriously from the first sentence.
• Those around you notice that you have changed.
